Randi Robinson, MS LLPC DP-C

Hello

My name is Randi and I am a fierce advocate for human rights with a passion to help people explore all different ways they can meet their personal goals. I was inspired to become a counselor by my desire to help people become the best version of themselves. As humans, we have an abundance of potential, however life stressors such as home, work, school, pandemic, recession, trauma, conflict, physical health, and unrealistic expectations from ourself and/or others can block that potential. I am here to help you unblock the challenges and barriers preventing you from the life that you deserve.

I will provide you with a judgement free zone full of empathy, support, validation, and unconditional positive regard. I will provide you with tools, psycho-education, and the resources necessary to meet your goals. I take on a client-centered approach upon first meeting so that I can meet you where you are at. This is a non-directive technique to allow us to act as equal partners in the talk therapy process. There is no agenda, no rush. The goal of this practice is to allow you to increase self-awareness, improve your ability to use self-direction to make desired changes, increase clarity, improve self-esteem, and boost your self-reliance. I am caring, empathetic, supportive and a huge advocate. I will be your biggest fan and am honored to be here for you.

Education and Career

I graduated with a Masters of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. After graduation, I interned at an agency that provided mental health counseling, support, and resources to homeless male veterans. When my internship was completed, I provided mental health support for healthcare professionals struggling with substance abuse, addiction, and / or debilitating mental health while struggling to keep their professional license(s). My next position transitioned to working with co-occurring disorders, severe psychosis related to substance use, personality disorders and severe trauma. With my passion to help and advocate for people, I wanted to serve a vulnerable population specifically with substance use disorder. So I began providing mental health clinical interventions for those diagnosed with opioid use disorder as a primary diagnosis in a medication assisted treatment program.  Most of our clients had co-occurring disorders and I was providing clinical interventions for the root cause of the addiction, which led to the highest success rate for recovery. I also worked with people struggling with severe psychosis related to substance use, personality disorders and severe trauma.

I am currently pursuing my full certification as a CAADC. I will begin training for psychedelic integrated psychotherapy in 2023 to truly help individuals beat addiction, overcome substance use, wean off of opioids and provide life saving clinical interventions for  co-occurring disorders, severe trauma and suicidal ideation.

Specialization and Approach

As we build our therapeutic rapport, I will begin to cater your treatment plan and provide appropriate interventions that are unique to you and your current obstacles. I am trained and experienced in solution focused therapy (SFT), CBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, and group therapy including seeking safety treatment model and art. I believe whole-heartedly in developing positive coping skills and maintaining positive thoughts and will teach you skills that you are able to use in universal situations.

I do not have a preference on population or age, but I really enjoy working with individuals struggling with substance abuse whether it is themselves, partner, or family member or loved one. I am educated and trained to help trauma victims and survivors; and LGBTQA community. I also like to provide services for those struggling with generational trauma, relationship and family issues, low self-esteem/self worth, PTSD, anxiety, and panic disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders and ADHD.

Note for You

I have learned through experience that the most valuable part of counseling is to have someone who genuinely cares about you, your well being and truly wants to help you become your best self because they believe in you. If we are a good match, I will be your biggest advocate, supporter, and guide during this journey. You are not alone.
