Randi Robinson, MS LLPC DP-C

Hello

I'm Randi Robinson, MS LLPC DP-C, a passionate advocate for human rights and a dedicated counselor, committed to helping individuals achieve their personal goals. I believe in exploring various avenues to unlock your full potential. Life can present numerous challenges such as work, home, school, pandemics, recessions, trauma, conflicts, physical health issues, and unrealistic expectations from ourselves and others. These obstacles can hinder your progress. But fear not, I'm here to assist you in overcoming these challenges and breaking down the barriers that stand between you and the life you deserve.

In my counseling sessions, I create a non-judgmental space filled with empathy, support, validation, and unconditional positive regard. I offer you the necessary tools, psycho-education, and resources to help you achieve your goals. I take a client-centered approach, meeting you exactly where you are. This technique ensures that we become equal partners in the therapeutic process, with no hidden agenda or time constraints. Together, we'll focus on increasing self-awareness, enhancing self-direction, clarifying your path, improving self-esteem, and fostering self-reliance. I'm a caring, empathetic, and supportive counselor who will be your biggest fan. I'm honored to be here for you.

Education and Career

I hold a Masters of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. During my studies, I interned at an agency providing mental health counseling and resources to homeless male veterans. After my internship, I extended my support to healthcare professionals struggling with substance abuse, addiction, and mental health issues while also maintaining their professional licenses. In my subsequent role, I worked with individuals experiencing co-occurring disorders, severe psychosis related to substance use, personality disorders, and severe trauma. Driven by my passion to help vulnerable populations, I focused on providing mental health clinical interventions for individuals diagnosed with opioid use disorder as a primary diagnosis within a medication-assisted treatment program. Many of our clients had co-occurring disorders, and addressing the root cause of addiction resulted in the highest success rates for recovery. I also assisted individuals dealing with severe psychosis related to substance use, personality disorders, and severe trauma.

Currently, I'm working towards my full certification as a CAADC. In 2023, I will commence training for psychedelic integrated psychotherapy, which will equip me with additional tools to help individuals conquer addiction, substance use, and suicidal ideation, and offer life-saving clinical interventions for co-occurring disorders and severe trauma.

Specialization and Approach

As we establish our therapeutic relationship, I will tailor your treatment plan and provide interventions that address your specific obstacles. I am well-versed in solution-focused therapy (SFT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and group therapy techniques, including the seeking safety treatment model and art therapy. I strongly believe in developing positive coping skills and maintaining a positive mindset. I will teach you techniques that can be applied in various situations.

While I don't have a preference for a specific population or age group, I particularly enjoy working with individuals struggling with substance abuse, whether it's their own addiction, a partner's, or a family member's. I am also experienced in providing support to trauma victims, survivors, and the LGBTQA community. Additionally, I specialize in helping individuals dealing with generational trauma, relationship and family issues, low self-esteem, PTSD, anxiety and panic disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and ADHD.

A Note For You

Through my experiences, I have discovered that the most valuable aspect of counseling is having someone who genuinely cares about your well-being, believes in your potential, and truly wants to help you become the best version of yourself. If we're a good fit, I will be your biggest advocate, supporter, and guide throughout this journey. Remember, you're not alone.
