Drita Fron, LMSW-C

Hello

I'm Drita, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Michigan with over 15 years of experience. Witnessing individuals overcome mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, and life stressors inspired me to become a therapist and empower others on their journeys to healing and well-being. Inspired by the transformative power of talk therapy, I pursued a career in mental health to empower others towards healing and well-being.

Taking the first step towards therapy is a brave act of self-care. I believe in creating non-judgmental supportive space where you can explore difficult emotions and embark on your personal healing journey. Therapy is a safe place one may explore difficult things in life, begin to heal, and learn new skills to promote a better lifestyle and improve overall mental health.

Education and Career

I graduated from Wayne State University in 2001 and have cultivated a diverse therapeutic background spanning residential facilities, hospital settings, outpatient therapy, and private practice. This allows me to understand and address a wide range of client needs from various perspectives.

Specialization and Approach

Taking the first step towards therapy requires courage. I believe in fostering a safe and supportive environment where you can openly explore difficult emotions and begin your personal healing process. This safe space allows you to:

  • Process challenging experiences: Unpack difficult life events, understand their impact, and develop healthy coping mechanisms.
  • Heal from trauma: Whether rooted in abuse, PTSD, or other experiences, I'm here to guide you through trauma-informed care towards healing and growth.
  • Build resiliency: Navigate life's stressors, improve self-esteem, and cultivate healthy relationships with yourself and others.

I utilize a dual approach, incorporating:

  • Psychodynamic therapy: This method explores early childhood experiences and their impact on your present behavior and emotions, fostering self-understanding and growth.
  • Person-centered therapy: This collaborative approach prioritizes your unique needs and empowers you to find your own solutions, building confidence and strength.

Additionally, I am an Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) therapist, offering an evidence-based technique that uses eye movements to help process trauma, anxiety, and other challenges effectively and efficiently. This intervention has been clinically proven to relieve moderate symptoms in one session!

I provide adults and family therapy sessions. I work with various concerns, including:

  • Depression and anxiety
  • Mood disorders
  • Self-esteem
  • Grief and loss
  • Life stressors related to relationships, work, school, or home
  • Trauma and abuse (PTSD, domestic violence)
  • and more

While I utilize diverse therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic and person-centered methods, I prioritize a collaborative approach tailored to your unique needs. If my approach isn't the perfect fit for you, I am dedicated to helping you find a therapist who resonates with you as the most important factor of therapy, is trusting the one you choose to support you.
