Hello, my name is Lenette, and I am excited to work with you as we journey through your chapters of life. It is my belief that everyone has a story, and it is my goal to be the listening ear. As we work to build our therapeutic rapport; know that our time together will be one of safety, one without judgement and where you will be seen, heard and supported. I will use evidence-based practices to help identify what works for you as an individual while meeting you where you are. We will work together to identify the tools that you can use to build your self-identified wants and needs, which can be utilized in your world long after therapy is complete. Finding someone to share your thoughts and feelings with can be frightening, making you feel vulnerable, and unsure of your greatest potential. Keeping it bottled in can be just as frightening; let’s work together to explore options, see the potential within you, creating a place to help you feel valued, validated and as worthy as you truly are. If for any reason and anytime we are not a good fit for working together, other professional referrals will be provided to you.

Education and Career

Throughout my career, I've been driven by a desire to help others. This passion started early with my role as a Veterinary Receptionist. I then broadened my impact by working as a Direct Care Worker in Group Homes, ultimately becoming the Manager, where I supported individuals with both physical and cognitive challenges.

Driven by a thirst for knowledge, I enrolled at Henry Ford Community College, earning dual Associate degrees: one in Arts and the other in Science. Years later, I felt the call to further my education and pursued a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration at The University of Phoenix. I didn't stop there, immediately continuing my studies to earn a Master of Science in Mental Health/Clinical Mental Health from the same institution in 2010.

During my internships I worked for several nonprofit agencies which provided shelter, transitional housing, food, education, counseling for individual and groups, hospice service to women diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and women with children.  I also worked with men and women in transitional housing, residential substance abuse treatment, mental health, those in a state of unsheltered and citizens returning to the community, in order reduce recidivism.

Therapeutic Approach and Interventions

Combining 27 years of hands-on experience as a Licensed Emergency Medical Technician with a passion for mental health, I stand as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and NCC, uniquely equipped to understand and support first responders.

Having served both in the private and non-private ambulance sector, I transitioned off the road a year ago but remain deeply connected to the community. This allows me to provide invaluable insight and support to medical first responders, EMTs, and firefighters who navigate the challenges specific to their demanding careers and the things they witness and experience.

I am trained to provide the following clinical interventions:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) by the International Association
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapist
  • Reiki Master to offer a holistic approach to healing
  • Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCPT) by Evergreen Certifications
  • Licensed Emergency Medical Technician
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

I am passionate about helping people from all walks of life, including:

  • First responders: EMS, firefighters, medical professionals
  • Veterans: Navigating the unique challenges of service
  • Individuals with diverse needs: Mental and physical challenges, various diagnoses
  • Those facing common obstacles: Trauma, PTSD, stress, depression, anxiety, grief, relationship concerns, ADHD, OCD, and other behavioral and mood disorders

Whether you're a first responder seeking healing from trauma, a veteran navigating transition, or anyone else striving for greater mental well-being, I'm here to provide compassionate and effective support.
